Description & Background:
We're seeking an experienced Utilities Demand Manager to join the Sizewell C team, a transformative nuclear power plant project. You'll be responsible for managing electrical, water, and IT & telecommunications service needs across this major infrastructure project. As Sizewell C transitions from EDF to majority government ownership, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape utility management strategies at a critical time.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee pre-construction and construction utility deliverables
- Develop and implement utility management strategies
- Promote strong Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) culture
- Provide input to Environmental Management Plans and permits
- Coordinate with Utilities Designers, Contractors, and stakeholders
- Manage project changes and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with DCO guidelines
- Lead multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with Construction, Environmental, and Site Operations teams
- Drive successful delivery of utilities within budget and timeline
Experience Required:
- Proven experience managing utilities for large-scale construction projects
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools
- Problem-solving and adaptability skills
- Experience in complex, fast-paced environments
- Expertise in utilities services (water, telecommunications, power)
- Ability to reprioritize tasks effectively
Salary, Hours and Location:
- £420 to £580 per day (dependent on pay route this role is inside IR35)
